About Me

Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
Julie Gray Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist

I began my postgraduate studies at Western University where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2009 and my Masters in Physical Therapy degree in 2011. I then worked full-time as a community physiotherapist with the adult population, focusing on orthopaedic, stroke recovery and cardio-respiratory physiotherapy.

It was not until I had my own three children (8 years old, 5 years old and 2 years old) that I grew a passion for Women’s Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. Seeing firsthand how beneficial therapy had been for me, I developed a longing to help other women through this journey of healing, building strength and improving their quality of living. Some of my own postpartum experiences were not easy and very unexpected. I never thought “it would happen to me”. However, those experiences have given me invaluable tools to grow not only individually, but as a clinician as well. I feel a great privilege to be invited into the lives of my patients and to help empower them onto the path of recovery whether that be physically, emotionally or both.

I have completed levels one through three of pelvic health physiotherapy postgraduate training with Pelvic Health Solutions. These courses have a focus on female and male urinary incontinence, female and male pelvic pain and clinical skills for treating pain. I have also completed additional specialized training in pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy, care for the post-partum client and pelvic health physiotherapy in the perimenopausal, menopausal and post-menopausal years. I am registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. I am also a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), Ontario Physiotherapy Association, and the Women’s Health Division of the CPA. I feel that I am a lifelong learner and I love the academic setting. I also love learning from my patients and I feel they have as much to give to the therapeutic relationship as I do.

When I am not practicing as a physiotherapist, you can find me spending quality time with my children and husband. I enjoy being outdoors walking my dog, gardening, exploring the paths at local parks and trails, and swimming. I am also a passionate runner. When I am not chasing after my kids, you can find me regularly on the running paths throughout the city training for my next races.

My Space

Julie Gray Physiotherapy can be found in the lovely community of Lambeth (South West London). The clinic offers a comfortable and relaxed home environment on the main floor making it easily accessible. My location is conveniently only 2 minutes drive off the 402, parking is ample and free, and only steps away from my door.

As the sole therapist in clinic, I ensure that appointments are private and quiet with no more than 1 patient present at a time. You are welcome to bring your baby to appointments. If you would like, support persons are welcome to join in on appointments as well.
